An EXCELLENT example of a VICTORIAN RIFLE VOLUNTEERS OFFICERS Sword in Exceptional condition having an etched blade with OFFICERS NAME – – CAPT J.H.SEARLE 23rd SURREY RIFLES with strung bugle – scrolls – CROWN VR -& gilt proof mark – The steel hilt with bugle motif and fishskin wirebound grip with leather sword knott having gilt bullion acorn – This FANTASTIC Sword has a pleasing patina to the hilt with the blade in original polish with crisp etching & probably one of the best examples of Victorian Rifles Swords on the market today – lacking scabbard but these can be found
