An EXCEPTIONAL GEORGIAN OFFICERS SABRE of the WILTSHIRE YEOMANRY by KNUBLEY & Co CHARING CROSS LONDON circa 1797 – the hilt and scabbard mounts retaining all original gilt and excellent wirebound fishskin grip – the scabbard leather having tooled decoration – the blade with a blued panel each side of a CROWN over WY – the hilt having OFFICERS INITIALS TG (Thomas Goddard ) COLONEL of the WILTS YEO – CHARLES LORD BRUCE

KNUBLEY & Co operated from this address from 1790 – 1797 only – John Knubley died in 1795 when SAMUAL BRUNN took over his business – & Co would have been added at that time – The business sold to JOHN MALLET in 1798 who operated in his own name
