FEATHERS on outer langet and steel mounts to the leather scabbard the top locket having makers name & address of – BRUNN -SWORD CUTLERS TO HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCE OF WALES – No 55 CHARING CROSS – LONDON
The blade retaining most original Polish – The P.O.W. Crest possibly relates to either the 10th HUSSARS or 12th LIGHT DRAGOONS both who fought at WATERLOO
SAMUAL BRUNN worked at this address from 1799 untill 1804 when he moved to number 56 Charing Cross and BY APPOINTMENT TO H.R.H. the P.O.W. from 1800 to 1811 so dating this sabre between those dates
